Job Description Summary

Job Overview:

As a trainer on our Tech Academy team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for software engineers and other technical staff. You will play a critical role in shaping the capability and technical skills of our teams, with a training focus on .NET technologies. You will be responsible for creating e-learning courses, updating training materials, leading live training sessions, and providing ongoing support to learners. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for teaching complex technical topics in an engaging and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Training and Facilitation (30%):

  • Act as the primary facilitator for technical training sessions with a focus on .NET and related technologies.
  • Lead virtual and in-person instructor-led training sessions.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to technical staff, addressing questions and concerns related to the training topics.

Content Design and Curriculum Ownership (50%):

  • Design and develop new technical training materials, including presentations, hands-on labs, and assessments.
  • Update and maintain existing training content to ensure it is accurate and reflects the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Work with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure the technical accuracy of all training materials.

Program Management and Coordination (20%):

  • Coordinate and manage the technical training schedule and curriculum.
  • Oversee learner enrollment and completion of mandatory technical eLearning courses.
  • Monitor and identify areas for improvement in the .NET training programs and implement changes as needed.
  • Collaborate with Product Development leaders and keep stakeholders updated on training content and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Demonstrated expertise in .NET and related frameworks.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in software development or a related technical role, with at least 3 years in a training or teaching capacity.
  • Proven experience in navigating an enterprise Learning Management System (LMS), preferably Docebo.
  • Experience with eLearning content development and design tools such as Articulate, Canva, and Vyond.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience using Slack and the Google Suite, including Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Forms. Gemini and GenAI a plus.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills are a must-have.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in a relevant technology or training area (e.g., Microsoft Certified Trainer, Certified Technical Trainer).
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and supporting global teams.
  • C#/.NET Core, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Windows Forms, SQL Server, RESTful APIs, NUnit
