Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Technical Support / Help Desk Engineer to provide technical assistance, troubleshoot user issues, and support IT operations. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and working knowledge of Windows systems, PowerShell, and Python scripting for support and automation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 technical support via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues
  • Support Windows desktops/laptops, printers, applications, Office 365, and basic server issues
  • Manage and resolve help desk tickets within defined SLA timelines
  • Perform user account management, password resets, and access support
  • Use PowerShell to automate routine IT/admin tasks
  • Use Python for basic scripting, troubleshooting, and automation support
  • Document issues, resolutions, and technical procedures
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT teams when required
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and professional communication

Required Skills

  • Experience in Technical Support, IT Help Desk, or Desktop Support
  • Good knowledge of Windows OS troubleshooting
  • Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Basic knowledge of Python scripting
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple support requests

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ticketing tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Freshdesk, or Zoho Desk
  • Knowledge of Azure, Intune, or Microsoft 365 Admin Center
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or ITIL

Education

Bachelor's degree / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Relevant experience will also be considered.
