Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide pre-sales and post-sales support for motion control products including servo drives, stepper drives, EtherCAT-based systems, and automation solutions from Rtelligent. The role involves customer interaction, troubleshooting, application guidance, and coordination with the sales and engineering teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

             •           Provide on-call, remote, and on-site support for Rtelligent products

             •           Diagnose and resolve issues related to:

             •           Servo drives & motors

             •           Stepper drives (pulse & EtherCAT based)

             •           Communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus, Pulse/Direction)

             •           Assist customers in installation, wiring, and commissioning

2. Application Engineering Support

             •           Understand customer machine requirements and suggest suitable solutions

             •           Help in selection of servo/stepper systems based on:

             •           Load calculation

             •           Speed & torque requirements

             •           Support integration with:

             •           PLCs

             •           HMIs

3. Pre-Sales Support

             •           Work closely with the sales team to:

             •           Provide technical proposals

             •           Participate in client discussions

             •           Demonstrate product capabilities

             •           Prepare basic technical documentation and solution notes

4. Training & Documentation

             •           Conduct product training sessions for customers and internal teams

             •           Create and maintain:

             •           User guides

             •           Troubleshooting manuals

             •           FAQs

5. Customer Relationship Management

             •           Maintain follow-up records of technical issues

             •           Ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction

             •           Coordinate with OEM (Rtelligent) for complex technical cases

Key Skills Required

Technical Skills

             •           Strong knowledge of:

             •           Servo systems & stepper motors

             •           Motion control fundamentals

             •           Industrial automation systems

             •           Hands-on experience with:

             •           PLC programming (basic to intermediate)

             •           Communication protocols (EtherCAT preferred)

             •           Understanding of:

             •           Electrical panel wiring

             •           Industrial sensors & feedback systems (encoders)

Soft Skills

             •           Good communication and problem-solving skills

             •           Ability to handle customer pressure and deadlines

             •           Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset

Experience

             •           2–3 years (Freshers with strong fundamentals can also apply)

             •           Experience in automation / motion control industry preferred
