Role : Technical Support Engineer

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide remote technical support and ensure smooth operation of our systems. The role involves handling customer-raised tickets, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with development teams for complex problems. This position requires strong Linux system knowledge and scripting capabilities and will operate primarily during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to and manage support tickets raised by customers within defined SLAs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, including restarting and stabilizing products to ensure smooth functionality.
- Provide remote technical support for system, application, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and analysis using Linux command-line tools.
- Write and modify Linux shell scripts to automate routine checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Coordinate with development and engineering teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures for future reference.
- Monitor systems and proactively identify potential issues during the shift.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or any related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Intel-based PC and server hardware.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing basics).
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Proficiency in Linux shell scripting (bash/sh) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Python for scripting and support-related automation is preferred.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and handle production issues responsibly.
- Good communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
