As a Technical Support Data Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring clients receive fast, precise, and reliable technical support for SaaS solutions. You will work closely with project managers and internal teams to implement, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and integrations, ensuring client data flows smoothly. The role combines hands-on technical work with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring strong problem-solving skills, SQL and Python expertise, and an ability to communicate complex issues clearly. You will also drive process improvements, automate workflows, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives. This position is fully remote within India and offers the chance to impact the operational efficiency and satisfaction of clients across a global retail platform. Success in this role involves proactive ownership, technical excellence, and a consultative approach to supporting client needs.
- Accountabilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for SaaS technical integration and client support.
- Collaborate with project managers to guide clients through software implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Analyze, load, and process product catalog, sales, and returns data using SQL, Python, and ETL tools.
- Respond to support requests through email, ticketing systems, or live chat, adhering to SLA guidelines.
- Automate repetitive tasks and improve support processes to enhance efficiency.
- Monitor client health and performance dashboards, triage issues, and escalate critical problems when needed.
- Create and maintain internal documentation and customer-facing knowledge base articles.
- Advocate for customers by sharing feedback to influence product improvements.
- Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Support Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Analyst, or Technical Consultant.
- Strong proficiency with ETL processes, relational databases (Postgres or Oracle preferred), and scripting (Python, Shell, JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and networking concepts (HTTP, SSL, FTP, firewalls).
- Experience with Unix/Linux systems, git, deployment, monitoring, and alerting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with extensive customer-facing experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Experience with GenAI (LLMs/VLMs) or SaaS platforms is a plus.
- Consultative mindset with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear explanations for clients.
