Qualification Experience
B.Tech / B.E / M.Sc or equivalent degree in Food Technology, Food Processing Technology, Food Engineering, Food Science Technology, or Food Science Nutrition with minimum 1 year experience in food safety in institutional or industrial settings
(M.Tech / M.E or higher qualification with relevant experience also eligible)
OR
3-Year Diploma in Food Technology, Food Processing Technology, Food Engineering, Food Science Technology with minimum 6 years relevant experience
Desirable: Diploma/Certificate in Food Safety or Food Safety Hygiene; working knowledge of FSSAI regulations, HACCP, food hygiene audits, canteen/mess inspections
Key Responsibilities
Conduct food safety and hygiene inspections across hostel messes, canteens, food courts, and campus outlets
Monitor raw material handling, food preparation, cooking, and storage practices
Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, and food safety standards
Guide food handlers on personal hygiene and safe food practices
Coordinate with hostel authorities, vendors, and contractors on food safety matters
Maintain inspection records, SOPs, and food safety documentation
Support awareness programs, workshops, and training on food safety
