Job Title: Technical Sales Manager – Solar Noise Barrier Systems

Location: Noida

Department: Business Development

Role Overview

We are developing an innovative solar-integrated noise barrier system combining infrastructure and renewable energy solutions. We are seeking a Technical Sales Manager with expertise in solar PV systems and B2B project sales to drive market adoption, client acquisition, and technical-commercial alignment.

This role requires a blend of technical understanding (solar PV, EPC) and strategic sales execution in infrastructure segments such as highways, railways, industrial corridors, and urban developments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

Identify and develop opportunities for solar noise barrier projects across:

•  Highways (NHAI, EPC contractors)

•  Railways & metro projects

•  Industrial and commercial zones

Build relationships with:

•  Infrastructure developers

•  Government agencies

•  EPC contractors

•  Urban planners and consultants

Drive end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation → proposal → negotiation → closure

2. Technical Sales

Understand and explain solar PV system design concepts:

•  Panel selection, efficiency, tilt angles, generation estimates

•  Grid connectivity / net metering / captive usage

Work with internal engineering team to:

•  Integrate solar modules into noise barrier structures

•  Develop techno-commercial proposals

Conduct site feasibility assessments and client presentations R&D and Product Development (Solar Integration)

3. R&D and Product Development

-   Lead the development of solar-integrated noise barrier systems in collaboration with internal engineering and external technology partners.

Evaluate and select appropriate:

•  Solar PV modules (mono PERC, bifacial, thin-film if relevant)

•  Mounting structures compatible with vertical/angled noise barriers

•  Inverters, cabling, and protection systems

Drive design innovation for:

•  Structural + solar integration (wind loads, vibration from traffic, durability)

•  Optimised panel orientation for vertical or near-vertical installations

•  Aesthetic and urban design compatibility

Conduct and coordinate:

•  Feasibility studies (generation potential vs barrier height/length)

•  Pilot installations / prototypes

•  Performance benchmarking (output, degradation, maintenance needs)

Work on customsolutions, including:

•  Hybrid systems (solar + acoustic panels)

•  Transparent / semi-transparent solar modules (if required for visibility zones)

•  Modular designs for easy installation and maintenance

Collaborate with testing agencies and consultants to ensure:

•  Compliance with acousticstandards

•  Electrical safety standards

•  Infrastructure regulations (NHAI / Railways / Urban bodies)

Stay updated on:

•  Emerging technologies (BIPV, bifacial gains in vertical setups, anti-soiling coatings)

•  Government policies, subsidies, and pilot programs for solar highways

3. Project Coordination

Act as a bridge between:

•  Client requirements

•  Internal design/production teams

•  External solar EPC partners (if any)

Support execution team during project lifecycle:

•  Design approvals

•  Installation coordination

•  Commissioning support

4. Market Strategy & Product Development

Analyse market trends in:

•  Solar infrastructure

•  Highway noise barriers

•  Government policies (solar subsidies, mandates)

Provide inputs for:

•  Product positioning

•  Pricing strategy

•  Go-to-market approach

Required Qualifications

•  Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering / Renewable Energy

•  MBA (optional)

Experience

•  3- 8 years in Solar EPC / solar project sales / technical sales

•  Experience in infrastructure projects (roads, railways, construction) is highly preferred

•  Exposure to government tenders is a strong advantage

Key Skills

•  Strong understanding of: Solar PV systems (rooftop / ground-mounted / BIPV preferred)

•  Techno-commercial proposal preparation

•  Tendering & bid management

•  Stakeholder management (B2B / Govt.)
