We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager Personal Care to manage and grow business across the Maharashtra region, based out of Mumbai. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise in cosmetic formulations and B2B sales capability to promote and support a portfolio of personal care raw materials to manufacturers, formulators, and brand owners.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Manage and expand sales of personal care ingredients across Maharashtra
- Develop new business opportunities with cosmetic manufacturers, contract manufacturers, and emerging brands
- Achieve regional sales targets in line with company objectives
- Prepare and negotiate pricing, proposals, and commercial agreements
Technical Support & Customer Engagement
- Provide technical product presentations and application support to customers
- Assist customers with formulation guidance, product trials, and problem-solving
- Work closely with customer R&D teams to recommend suitable ingredients and solutions
- Coordinate with internal technical and regulatory teams as required
Market Intelligence & Product Promotion
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements
- Support launch and promotion of new and specialty ingredients
- Gather and communicate market feedback to internal stakeholders
Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain accurate customer data, sales forecasts, and activity reports
- Coordinate with logistics and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Submit periodic sales and market performance reports
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or related discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in Cosmetic Technology will be an added advantage
Experience
- 210 years of experience in technical sales of personal care / cosmetic raw materials
- Strong exposure to skincare, haircare, and color cosmetics segments
- Established customer network within the Maharashtra region preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and formulations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and manage long-term customer relationships
- Result-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable with extensive field travel
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools
Travel Requirement
- Frequent travel across Maharashtra for customer meetings and business development
