Senior Proposal Manager - Federal Government Contracts

We're seeking a Senior Proposal Manager specializing in high-value federal government contracts. In this role, you'll lead the development of technical proposals for complex contracts, ensuring compliance and crafting compelling narratives aligned with client requirements and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end proposal development for federal solicitations, from pre-RFP activities to final submission.
- Develop and execute proposal strategies to position the organization for success in competitive bids.
- Craft technically proficient solution narratives in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Coordinate proposal kick-off meetings, establish schedules, and ensure adherence to milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine technical narratives that showcase capabilities.
- Shape proposal strategies, providing insights to senior leadership on risks and opportunities.
- Review and analyze RFPs to extract critical technical requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Ensure compliance with technical, contractual, and federal requirements.
- Conduct readiness assessments and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to foster a collaborative environment within the proposal team.
- Participate in reviews to enhance proposal quality, responsiveness, and persuasiveness.
- Collaborate with writers and graphics teams to effectively communicate technical concepts.
- Coordinate with subcontractors/partners to incorporate their contributions into proposals.
- Maintain proposal documentation and capture best practices for future reference.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree is a plus).
- 7-10 years of hands-on technical proposal management, focusing on federal contracts.
- Proven success in crafting compelling technical proposals for federal contracts.
- Deep understanding of federal procurement processes and compliance regulations.
- Strong project management skills, managing multiple proposals and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with capture planning, competitive analysis, and proposal best practices.
- Experience with proposal management tools (e.g., Shipley, Privia).
- Eligibility for necessary security clearances for government contracts.
