Role Description
Velloni is seeking a full-time Technical Project Manager – Web & Cloud Applications to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of critical projects. This on-site role, based in Mumbai, involves managing project workflows, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful execution of initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, organizing schedules, supervising teams, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12–15 years of overall software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a technical leadership or manager role.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale web applications deployed on the cloud.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Modern web architectures (microservices, APIs, SPA frameworks)
- Cloud services (compute, storage, databases, networking, security)
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Practical experience using AI tools to enhance development, testing, debugging, documentation, or operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Graduate from top institutes of India.
- Exposure to security and compliance standards (eg ISO27001,SOC2 ,GDPR) relevant to cloud hosted environments
Nice to Have
- Experience leading teams of 5–15 engineers in fast-paced or startup-like environments.
- Exposure to data-driven decision-making, analytics, or AI/ML-enabled platforms.
- Background in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- PMP/Prince2 certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the journey of multiple projects from conceptualization to delivery.
- Lead end-to-end execution of web application development on cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-availability systems using modern cloud-native patterns.
- Manage and mentor a lean engineering team, driving ownership, accountability, and technical excellence. Define the scope, success criteria and technical approach.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, test automation, DevOps intelligence, monitoring) to improve efficiency, quality, and time-to-market.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Own technical planning, estimation, risk management, and delivery commitments.
- Establish and enforce best practices for coding standards, CI/CD, DevOps, security, and performance.
- Review architecture, conduct design/code reviews, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Ensure system reliability, observability, and continuous improvement post-production.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and security protocols.
- Translate business requirements into technical tasks, roadmaps and release plans for development ,QA, DevOps and security teams.
- Create and maintain project plans, backlogs and status logs, track milestones, dependencies and KPIs.
- Drive sprint planning ,reviews and retrospectives in Agile environments and ensure ceremonies are effective and outcome based.
- Manage risks, issues and change requests with clear impact analysis and mitigation plans.
