Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Technical Manager with deep experience in the Banking & Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate should be able to lead cross-functional teams of 6070 members, deliver end-to-end complex projects, contribute to pre-sales and proposal creation, drive technical innovation, and foster continuous skill development within the team. A proactive attitude, flexibility to stretch during critical phases, and a passion for taking on new challenges are key traits for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of BFSI technology projects, ensuring high quality, timely outcomes.
- Lead technical architecture, design reviews, and delivery best practices across Web, Cloud, and Data Engineering domains.
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, internal delivery, QA, and product teams to meet delivery expectations.
Team & People Management
- Lead and mentor a large team (6070) engineers including team leads, architects, and developers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, learning & development planning, and succession management.
Pre-sales & Proposals
- Work with sales and business development teams to provide technical leadership in RFPs, RFIs, and proposal creation.
- Create and present technical solutions, estimations, and effort models.
- Participate in client pitches and presentations, especially for BFSI prospects.
Innovation & Technology Growth
- Identify emerging trends and drive PoCs, accelerators, and re-usable frameworks within BFSI domain.
- Encourage a culture of experimentation and adoption of modern technologies and engineering practices.
Skill Development & Capability Building
- Plan and execute skill-building initiatives, certifications, and tech talks for team members.
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to align talent with future technology needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of overall experience with at least 45 years in a technical leadership or delivery manager role.
- Proven experience working in the BFSI domain (Banking & Fintech).
- Expertise in Web Technologies (Python/.NET/Node.js, etc.), Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Data Engineering (ETL, Big Data, Data Pipelines) to execute the project
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and modern DevOps practices.
- Prior success in managing large distributed teams (50+ members) and handling multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- High energy, enthusiastic, adaptable, and willing to go the extra mile during delivery crunches.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with BFSI clients across regions such as the US, EU, or APAC.
- Knowledge of compliance, security, and domain-specific nuances in BFSI applications.
- Exposure to tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
