Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with the end-to-end software development life cycle (e.g.,build, test, and release).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience managing complex programs on high-velocity quality teams.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Excellent investigative, problem-solving and organizational skills.

About The Job

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As the program manager for the YouTube Live team in India, you will be joining a team to make YouTube the best place for Live streaming. You will work closely with a broad set of stakeholders across executive leadership, Engineering, PM, User experience design (UXD), program, and partner teams. You will lead an expansion of the YouTube Live team in Bengaluru focused on living room modernizing live interactivity, and creator platform improving live third-party ecosystem support including investment in live control room (LCR).

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end program management for multiple, concurrent initiatives. Drive all stages of the program lifecycle, from planning and resourcing to execution, monitoring, and post-launch analysis.
  • Proactively manage a high-velocity, dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly. Develop and maintain a clear, shared understanding of program status, risks, and next steps in the constant change.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks associated with internal and external dependencies. Anticipate and resolve roadblocks by building strong relationships and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. Use data and critical thinking to inform strategic decisions and optimize program outcomes.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed and aligned. Tailor communication to different audiences, from executive summaries to detailed technical briefings.
