Mandatory Skills

Key Responsibilities

Program technical ownership

Own the technical roadmap and delivery plan for shifting data stitching and key logic upstream into the Payments Data Platform and minimising Varicent dependency for data assembly.

Provide hands-on technical leadership across 3 scrum teams.

Architecture governance

Establish engineering standards, reference patterns, design review cadence, and reusable frameworks for pipelines, data models, and integrations.

Ensure decisions are documented and governed (architecture decision records, risk register, change controls).

Discovery leadership

Lead/coordinate discovery across NA and Europe with business and technology stakeholders:

business rules currently embedded in code

data source inventory and external file integrations

current-state patterns across NA processes and EU processes

Drive requirements clarity and resolve ambiguity before building.

Quality, audit, and operational controls

Define and enforce quality gates for a compensation platform where errors can have financial/legal impact:

reconciliation strategy against current Varicent outputs

traceability and audit requirements (why/how paid explanations)

production run governance for the 3 per month cadence

Stakeholder alignment

Partner with bank product owners, business stakeholders, and NTT delivery leads to maintain cross-functional alignment, remove blockers, and manage scope.

Required Experience & Skills

12+ years in enterprise technology delivery with 5+ years owning multi-team technical programmes (data platform modernisation preferred).

Strong data platform leadership: ETL/ELT, data modelling, data quality, lineage, reconciliation, and operational run management.

Experience modernising vendor-dependent architectures by moving logic/data preparation into enterprise-owned platforms.

Excellent stakeholder management across regions/time zones; strong communication and decision facilitation.

Preferred / Nice to Have

Varicent or Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platform exposure.

Rules engine/decisioning patterns (ODM/Drools or equivalent) and rule governance/versioning.

MDM concepts, identity resolution, and reference data strategies.

Cloud data platform experience (Azure/AWS/GCP), CI/CD for data pipelines. Azure experience is preferred.
