Job Description Technical Program Manager / Scrum Master (Insurance/Lending Platform)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager / Scrum Master who will drive end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives across our Lending Platform. The role requires strong program management discipline, Agile execution expertise, and the ability to coordinate Product, Engineering, Risk, Operations, and external partners.
You will act as the execution owner ensuring predictable delivery, managing risks early, and bringing clarity across multiple teams working on loan origination, underwriting, integrations, and servicing journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Execution & Planning
- Own delivery of large, cross-team initiatives across the lending lifecycle (LOS, LMS, underwriting, bureau integrations, disbursal & collections).
- Break product roadmap into execution plans, milestones, and sprint deliverables.
- Define scope, owners, dependencies, and timelines.
- Ensure release readiness and production rollout planning.
2. Agile & Scrum Management
- Act as Scrum Master for multiple squads.
- Run sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Track velocity, burndown, and sprint commitments.
- Drive Agile best practices and improve team delivery predictability.
3. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Risk, Data Science, Ops, Compliance, and Partner teams.
- Align priorities across internal teams and external lending partners (Banks/NBFCs/KYC providers/Bureau partners).
- Ensure clarity on requirements and acceptance criteria.
4. Dependency & Release Management
- Identify cross-system dependencies (KYC, credit bureau, payment gateway, underwriting engines)
- Drive release calendars and deployment readiness.
- Manage UAT cycles and production launches.
5. Risk & Escalation Management
- Proactively identify risks, delays, and blockers.
- Escalate early with mitigation plans.
- Ensure leadership visibility on program health.
6. Communication & Reporting
- Provide weekly program health updates (RAG status).
- Maintain RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
- Drive decision-making meetings and ensure closure of action items.
7. Delivery Governance
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and timelines.
- Improve execution processes and remove operational inefficiencies.
- Monitor production issues and drive RCA with engineering teams
Required Qualifications:
- 58 years of experience in Technical Program Management / Project Management / Scrum Master role
- Experience working in Fintech, Payments, Lending, Banking, or high-scale internet platforms
- Strong understanding of Agile & Scrum methodologies
- Mandatory Agile certification: CSM / PSM / SAFe / equivalent
- Experience managing multiple engineering teams simultaneously
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
