About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Pre-Sales Engineer with strong technical expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and Linux who can engage with customers, understand their infrastructure, and help them successfully deploy our on-premise applications. This role requires a balance of customer-facing communication and hands-on deployment skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and design suitable deployment architectures.
• Conduct technical discussions with customers regarding infrastructure prerequisites, access
• requirements, and security considerations.
• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot deployments of applications in customer environments.
• Provide hands-on assistance to customers during setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of
• deployments on Kubernetes and Docker-based environments.
• Collaborate with customer IT/DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration with their existing
• infrastructure.
• Document and communicate deployment requirements, best practices, and post-deployment
• operational guidelines.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers and the product/engineering team to provide feedback and identify areas of improvement.
• Deliver product demonstrations and explain technical features in a customer-friendly manner.
• Support RFP/RFI responses with technical details, diagrams, and deployment strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 46 years of experience in DevOps / Pre-Sales Engineering / Solutions Engineering roles.
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker deployments.
• Solid understanding of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.
• Good in Python (for scripting, automation, and deployment tooling).
• Experience with on-premise deployments, including working with restricted/air-gapped environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools in distributed environments.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to build trust and confidence.

Good to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Helm, Ansible, Terraform).
• Understanding of security best practices for on-prem deployments.
• Exposure to databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, or similar).
• Prior experience in customer-facing pre-sales or solutions engineering roles.
