Technical Manager

Responsibilities:

Lead and collaborate with software development & DevOps teams to design, build, and deploy scalable, secure, and maintainable microservices-based applications on Kubernetes and cloud platforms

Architect and oversee the seamless integration of microservices and event-driven applications within Kubernetes ecosystems, emphasizing performance and security.

Oversee development practices including code quality, version control, branching strategies, and automated testing integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks to support rapid, reliable software delivery across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Design and Development of payment specific product and solution covering both front-end and backend

Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization initiatives for both on-premises and cloud-based Kubernetes deployments.

Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to align DevOps strategies with organizational technology goals and business objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align technical strategies with overall business objectives.

Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the DevOps function.

Plan for capacity management, cost optimization, and performance tuning of Kubernetes clusters in on-premises and cloud environments.

Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external service providers and partners as needed.

Develop and maintain documentation for all DevOps processes, workflows, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and compliance.

Required Skills (must have)

Minimum 10 years of experience in Software Development & DevOps, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.

Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration, Docker/containerization, Ansible/Terraform, AWS, and managed Kubernetes services like EKS.

Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing service mesh frameworks (e.g., ISTIO), API gateways, ingress/egress, and load balancing.

Strong background in IaC, CI/CD pipeline creation, and automation technologies.

Strong background in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines across cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Demonstrated ability to implement and manage monitoring and observability platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Elastic Stack, and related tools.

Experience managing cloud infrastructure and optimizing costs in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Excellent Hands-on experience in Kafka and event driven architecture.

Proven Understanding on Databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra etc.)

Good to Have Skills

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator CKA / CKAD) are a plus

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their managed Kubernetes services

Perform capacity planning for Kubernetes clusters and optimize costs in On-Prem and cloud environments
