Technical Manager - CBS Domain (Java Spring)

Role Overview: 

We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager with a strong background in Core Banking Systems (CBS) and expertise in Java Spring-based enterprise applications. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team of developers and architects in designing, developing, and maintaining CBS modules, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with banking standards.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead end-to-end design and development of CBS modules such as Accounts, Loans, Deposits, Payments, and GL using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks. 

• Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. 

• Guide the team in microservices-based modernization of existing CBS components. 

• Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization of critical CBS services. 

• Oversee integration with external systems such as payment gateways, middleware, APIs, and reporting tools. 

• Ensure data integrity, transaction consistency, and audit compliance in CBS operations. 

• Manage the complete SDLC lifecycle - estimation, sprint planning, development, testing, and production support. 

• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to development teams. 

• Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams for smooth deployment and environment management. 

• Stay updated on banking regulations, technology trends, and security requirements affecting CBS systems.

Experience: 

10+ years (with at least 5 years in CBS product development)

Technical Skills: 

• Core Java (8/11/17/21), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate 

• RESTful API development and microservices architecture 

• SQL/PLSQL, JPA/Hibernate ORM, experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases 

• Messaging systems (added advantage): Kafka, JMS, MQ 

• Version control: Git, SVN 

• Build tools: Maven/Gradle 

• Testing frameworks(added advantage): JUnit, Mockito 

• DevOps tools (added advantage): Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes  

• Cloud exposure (added advantage): AWS / Azure  

• Exposure to CBS modules like: 

o Customer Master, Account Master 

o Loans & Advances  

o Deposits and Interest calculations 

o GL, Ledger postings, ADB calculations

Domain Expertise: 

• Hands-on experience in Core Banking Systems  

• Understanding of banking workflows, transaction management, and EOD/BOD processing 

• Experience with financial data reconciliation and CBS performance optimization

Soft Skills: 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 

• Proven experience in team leadership and mentoring developers 

• Ability to work in agile/scrum environments 

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability

Educational Qualification: 

• B.E / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. (Computer Science or equivalent)
