Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee maintenance and repair operations for residential properties
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Manage a team of maintenance staff and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
  • Conduct regular property inspections and assess the condition of buildings and systems
  • Create and manage budgets for maintenance and improvement projects
  • Coordinate with property managers and residents to address technical issues
  • Evaluate and implement energy-efficient solutions and sustainable practices
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services
  • Respond to emergency situations and coordinate necessary repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and expenses
  • Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in property maintenance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in property maintenance or facilities management
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and safety regulations
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Proficiency in using property management software and MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed
