Technical Lead / Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead / Senior Software Engineer who can drive architecture, design, and delivery of scalable platforms while leading by example with hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead design and architecture discussions for new features and platform improvements; own technical decisions and trade-offs

Collaborate with the Regional Architecture team to define and document the target state / North Star for the market tech landscape

Write, review, and contribute hands-on code; implement critical components and unblock the team

Plan and deliver work: break down requirements, estimate effort, prioritize tasks, and drive sprint execution & releases

Ensure quality and reliability through AI-assisted coding, strong code reviews, testing strategies (unit/integration/e2e), observability & monitoring

Drive CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment to improve productivity and reduce lead time

Partner with Product, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and timelines

Identify and manage technical debt alongside feature delivery

Ensure security, compliance, and performance best practices, embedding shift-left security and threat modeling early in SDLC

Track and act on engineering metrics such as velocity, cycle time, defect rate, and availability

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience with 24+ years in a Technical Lead / Senior role

Strong hands-on programming experience in one or more technologies:

Java 8 & latest versions, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Angular, React

Proven system design expertise for scalable distributed systems (microservices, event-driven architecture)

Experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud-native development

Strong exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Solid understanding of SQL & NoSQL databases, caching, and messaging systems

Experience with automated testing frameworks and observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing)

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills

Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Location: PAN India (Kolkata candidates will be given first preference)
