We are looking for a MERN Stack Trainer to join our School of Engineering and Technology to train and mentor students in full-stack development and emerging technologies.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate MERN Stack Trainer with prior teaching or training experience to deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate engineering students. This role is central to our mission of producing industry-ready graduates equipped with modern full-stack development skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured, hands-on training in the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)
- Develop, update, and maintain course curriculum, lab assignments, and project modules aligned with industry trends
- Conduct lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, workshops, and code reviews
- Mentor students on real-world projects, help build their portfolios, and prepare them for internships and placements
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and presentations
- Collaborate with faculty and department heads to embed full-stack capabilities into the engineering curriculum
- Encourage students to participate in coding competitions, hackathons, and open-source contributions
- Participate in academic duties such as curriculum planning, accreditation processes, and departmental meetings
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields from a recognized institution
- At least 3 years of total experience, with 1+ years in teaching/training full-stack technologies
- In-depth expertise in:
- MongoDB (queries, schemas, aggregation pipelines)
- Express.js (REST APIs, middleware)
- React.js (functional components, hooks, routing, state management)
- Node.js (server-side logic, event-driven architecture)
- Strong command of Git, API integration, and deployment (Netlify, Vercel, Heroku, etc.)
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Next.js, TypeScript, or Redux Toolkit
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker), or testing frameworks
- Experience guiding capstone projects or startups
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
