Tech Lead Cellular Core Network
Location: PAN India - 3 days per week from Office
Role Overview
Technical leadership role in the development of a cloud-based 3GPP compliant 5G SA core network. Communicate daily with the architect and generate detailed technical designs and documentation. Take an active role in in developing delivery schedules. In addition to hands-on implementation of a number of 5G SA Network Functions, oversee and support the daily activities of other developers on the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Design, document, and implement components of a 5G SA Core Network using Java and relevant databases.
- Backlog & Requirements: Work with Product, Network, and Architecture teams to translate requirements into detailed user stories, backlog items, and acceptance criteria.
- Architecture Alignment: Ensure designs meet security, observability, and performance goals; drive adherence to best practices.
- Hands-on Implementation: Develop network components; use tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and pcap for analysis.
- Scheduling: Help plan and manage delivery timelines.
- Team Oversight: Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Optimize network performance and resolve advanced engineering challenges.
- Innovation: Leverage AI tools (GenAI) for coding, research, and documentation.
MustHave Skills (712 Years)
5G Core knowledge (UDM, UDR, AUSF, PCF)
Proficiency with Java/C++/C
Experience with at least one database: MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Redis
Strong skills in AI/GenAI coding assistants & prompt engineering
Git version control and release processes
