Job Description

Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to help build the backbone of global voice communications routingthe systems that ensure every call reaches its destination with speed and precision. This role involves ownership of high-impact services that support a platform generating millions in annual revenue and plays a pivotal role in advancing next-generation telecom technologies.

As an Individual Contributor, you will work on our globally deployed, highly available Routing Platform, which includes:

Call Routing Engines
Backend Systems that generate call routing information and dial plans, distributing them to routing engines. These backend systems integrate data from multiple sources (Pricing, Suppliers, CDRs, Fraud Systems, etc.) to produce accurate routing information. They also have UI & API Layer. UI is used by our Operations team for provisioning & troubleshooting.

You will also contribute to modernizing & sustain our platform to support enterprise and wholesale voice communications.

To succeed in this environment, the role requires strong programming expertise in C++ and Java (with hands on experience in Spring or Spring Boot), at least three years working within the telecom domain and six years of overall software development experience, an ability to translate business goals into technical solutions, familiarity with Agile or DevOps practices, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies as the platform continues to evolve.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop software solutions aligned with business requirements.
Collaborate with architects to define technology roadmaps for upgrades and transformations.
Own coding activities for C++ and Java (Spring/Spring Boot) applications across on-premises and cloud environments.
Develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate new technologies and design options.

Work on:

Routing Engine Assess and route calls based on defined rules.

Routing Applications Capture provisioning and configuration data.

POCs in emerging technologies (including cloud) Support new revenue opportunities and integrate modern technologies into existing platforms.

Position Requirements:

Mandatory Skills:

Minimum 3 years of experience in C++ development.
23 years of experience in Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring), including SOAP/RESTful web services.
Hands-on development experience with voice communication platforms, especially SIP signalling.
At least 3 years of experience with Unix/Linux or similar operating systems.
At least 3 years of experience with Oracle or other relational databases.
Minimum 2 years of experience with application servers (Tomcat, Glassfish, JBOSS, etc.).
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with architects, QA, and product teams.

Preferred Skills:

Exposure to UI frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes.
Exposure to Elastic Search, Logstash & Kibana.
Familiarity with Agile or DevOps methodologies and tools like Git, Maven, Jira.
