Technical Lead

Company Description Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools (BBFS), owned and operated by Enjogo, is India's largest grassroots football training program. With non-residential after-school programs and residential football excellence boarding schools across India, BBFS has trained more than 20,000 young players with the support of over 2,000 coaches. Enjogo also runs a comprehensive coach education program in partnership with Skill India, enabling coaches to work with top academies after successful completion. Through its CSR arm, the Indian Football Foundation (IFF), BBFS collaborates with leading corporations to support talented footballers, many of whom progress to play at elite levels. The ecosystem is further enriched by the Enjogo sports learning app, a weekly newsletter, and educational podcast content tailored for young players and their families.
Role Description The Technical Lead will oversee the overall technical and coaching standards at BBFS centres, ensuring alignment with the organization's grassroots and elite training philosophy. This full-time on-site role, based in Noida, includes planning and monitoring training sessions, mentoring coaches, and ensuring consistent implementation of the technical curriculum across age groups. The Technical Lead will conduct regular player assessments, provide feedback on development, and coordinate with management on squad selection, competition planning, and progression pathways. This role also involves organizing coach education workshops, reviewing training methodologies, and using performance data to refine technical programs. The Technical Lead is expected to collaborate closely with other departments to maintain high-quality player and coach experiences and support BBFS's long-term football development goals.
Qualifications

• Strong background in football coaching and technical leadership, with experience managing training programs for grassroot and youth.
• Ability to design, implement, and evaluate football curricula, including session planning, player development frameworks, and age-specific training models.
• Experience mentoring and supervising coaching staff, providing structured feedback, and leading coach education or workshops.
• Comfort using performance analysis tools, match and training data, and video review to guide player development and refine coaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with players, coaches, parents, and management.
• Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., AIFF / AFC licenses or equivalent); higher-level licenses will be an advantage.
• Prior experience working in an academy or grassroots development environment; exposure to residential or school-based sports programs is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site in Noida, with flexibility for evening and weekend training schedules and football competitions.
