About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead to drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution of a unified data platform. You will lead a team of software engineers in building scalable, high-performance solutions that integrate data from diverse systems and provide actionable operational insights.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who combines strong backend development expertise with architectural thinking, team leadership, and a passion for building reliable, scalable products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of core platform features.
• Drive backend architecture and ensure high performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Mentor and guide software engineers, promoting technical excellence and collaboration.
• Work closely with product management to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and engineering best practices.
• Design and implement microservices, APIs, distributed systems, and data integration solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve development workflows, tools, infrastructure, and engineering productivity.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide the team toward effective solutions.
• Contribute to the technical strategy, architecture, and product roadmap.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong hands-on backend development experience with Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data integration patterns.
• Proven experience mentoring engineers and leading technical projects.
• Understanding of software architecture, system design, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
• Experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Exposure to technology platforms, including Property Management Systems (PMS), CRM systems, or booking engines.
• Experience working in a startup or high-growth product environment.
