Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead and drive UI automation initiatives using Squish and TypeScript.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for automation strategy, framework design, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable automated test solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation & Technical Leadership Lead the design, development, and maintenance of UI automation frameworks using Squish Develop robust, scalable, and reusable automation solutions in TypeScript
- Define automation standards, best practices, and coding guidelines
- Evaluate automation feasibility and define test automation strategy for projects.
- Review automation code and provide technical guidance to team members
- Testing & Quality Assurance Automate complex functional, regression, and end‑to‑end test scenarios.
- Ensure high test coverage across desktop, web, or embedded applications
- Analyze automation failures, identify root causes, and implement long‑term fixes Drive defect prevention through early test involvement and quality advocacy
- Support release sign‑off and production validation activities
- Collaboration & Process Improvement Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements
- Convert business and functional requirements into effective automation solutions
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and optimize execution
- Continuously improve automation performance, stability, and execution time
- Mentor and guide junior and mid‑level automation engineers.
Required Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation
- Strong expertise in Squish Automation Tool Advanced proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript
- Extensive experience with UI / GUI automation
- Solid understanding of automation framework architecture
- Strong knowledge of STLC, test strategy, and defect lifecycle
- Experience with Git and branching strategies
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Strong debugging, log analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Clear and effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders Ownership mindset with strong attention to quality and detail.
