Technical Directors are pivotal roles in making our relationship with our Clients (both external and internal) collaborative, efficient, and technically oriented to the right solutions. In this role it is fundamental to have experience in building cross platform applications, excited about whatever is linked to OTT Video-on-Demand Industry, Web and digital across major international projects and products.

VIDEO is a leading OTT and Digital products and services provider delivering best-of-breed software and components as well as comprehensive end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

Being a Technical Director means taking full accountability of all the technical aspects of the projects and a great ability to deal with multiple external and internal stakeholder to ensure the best quality and timely delivery. A key factor of success is being able to mix being hands-on with tech platforms whilst being able to guide and mentor teams that are performing the technical tasks.

Main responsibilities are:

• Responsibility for projects across platforms and technologies including: Web Front End Technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, React.js), C#, .NET, Android & iOS
• Client facing with a mature attitude to building good relationships
• Requirements gathering, refinement and estimation
• Defining the architecture of Digital Media solutions
• The specification and delivery of projects using sound software engineering principles with a strong focus on user experience.
• Effective planning to deliver robust, modular and testable code
• Adhere and contribute to Deltatre Engineering procedures, code conventions and best practice
• Documentation, including (but not limited to) software design and technical specification
• Keep abreast of new technology and opportunities in engineering that may be utilized by Deltatre
• Experience with a variety of software development process styles and project management methodologies

Requirements

A Technical Director should have:

• Delivered large scale projects/products over a number of months or in line with a product roadmap in a leadership role accountable for technology delivery, preferably in OTT or a digital agency or a product based organisation
• The ability to navigate complex challenges and solve interaction problems
• The ability to validate technical solutions through rapid prototyping
• A passion for learning the latest technologies and standards
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and tools
• Experience leading projects across different regions
• Experience in stakeholder management (both internal and external)
• Expertise in providing guidance to improve a team's code quality by example, training and code review, helping to upskill team members
• Agile advocate mindset
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline set-up
• An ability to create and maintain comprehensive solution documentation
• Strong background in one or more of these core technologies: Android (Java/Kotlin, RxJava, Dagger, Gradle); iOS (Swift, Alamofire, Kingfisher, IAP)
• Able to work on a hybrid basis with at least 2 days working in the Mumbai office in Goregaon
