Technical Designer

Job Requirements:

• Designation - Senior Technical Designer Baby Clothing
• Location - Ahmedabad (Head Office)
• Degree in Fashion Design / Fashion Technology / Fashion Management from a reputed institute (NIFT / MIT-ID/ Pearl / equivalent)
• Kidswear / Babywear experience mandatory strong knowledge of knitwear & infant sizing standards.
• 5+ years in technical design for a fashion retail or export brand.
• Strong understanding of knitwear garment construction, trims, fabrics, and wash techniques.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CAD tools, 3D design software (CLO3D / Browzwear preferred).
• Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams (design, sourcing, production).
• Eye for detail measurements, grading, finishing, packaging standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead tech pack creation (spec sheets, construction details, BOMs, grading).
• Translate design concepts into production-ready garment patterns.
• Oversee fit sessions and ensure size & comfort standards for 04 years babywear.
• Collaborate closely with design, sourcing, and vendors to ensure quality execution.
• Work across core babywear fabrics (jersey, interlock, ribs, muslin, terry, fleece, waffle).
• Ensure all products adhere to infant safety standards & compliance (AQL, CPSIA, azo-free, etc.).
• Manage sample development process with factories / external partners.
• Research and integrate upcoming AI-powered design tools for efficiency in tech design.
• Guide junior designers / interns, ensuring consistency in technical design.
