Business Central Technical Consultant

Our India team is a core part of our integrated global delivery modelworking closely with U.S. and European teams to build modern, scalable, AI-enabled Business Central solutions.
We are growing rapidly and are seeking a Business Central Technical Consultant with strong technical development skills and AI literacy to join our Bangalore office.
Role Overview
The Business Central Technical Consultant will design, develop, implement, and support Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions. This position requires advanced skills in AL development, integrations, extension frameworks, API connectivity, and the ability to work with AI-enabled tools and AI-driven solution design.
This is a full-time, on-site role in our Bangalore office (no hybrid, no WFH).
Key Responsibilities
Technical Development & Customization
- Develop and maintain Business Central extensions using AL in Visual Studio Code.
- Build custom integrations using APIs, REST, SOAP, OData, JSON.
- Upgrade and refactor BC customizations, including conversion from C/AL to AL.
- Ensure solutions follow Microsoft and AVS development best practices.
AI Literacy & Enablement
- Use AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, GitHub Copilot, generative AI accelerators).
- Participate in designing AI-enabled workflows, automations, and data-driven features.
- Collaborate with architects to integrate AI insights into BC solutions.
- Adopt and advocate for AI productivity practices in development and troubleshooting.
Solution Design & Collaboration
- Translate functional requirements into scalable technical specifications.
- Collaborate with global functional teams (US/EU/India) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in design sessions, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
Integrations & Data
- Troubleshoot existing integrations and build new custom integrations.
- Work with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, AVS IntegrateIQ, or similar platforms.
- Support data migration, ETL workflows, and sandbox configuration.
Testing, Deployment & Support
- Conduct unit testing, regression testing, and performance tuning.
- Provide hands-on technical support to clients and internal teams.
- Replicate user issues and deliver root-cause analysis and fixes.
- Support release management and deployment cycles.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- 25+ years of experience as a Business Central Technical Consultant.
- Strong experience with AL language, extensions, events, and BC development patterns.
- Deep understanding of Business Central architecture and object model.
- Experience developing integrations using REST APIs, web services, OData.
- Solid debugging, performance optimization, and environment management skills.
AI Skills (Mandatory)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot).
- Understanding of AI-driven automation, workflow enhancement, and data patterns.
- Ability to incorporate AI insights into solution troubleshooting and process design.
- Enthusiasm for emerging AI capabilities within Microsoft ERP and cloud platforms.
ERP Domain Knowledge
- Good understanding of BC functional areas such as:
- Finance
- Inventory
- Warehousing
- Supply Chain
- Manufacturing (preferred)
- Experience working with global clients and multi-zone delivery models.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team.
- Must be available to work on-site in the Bangalore office (no remote option).
