About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in optimizing and scaling our Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring systems. In this role, you will work closely with senior analysts, data engineers, and compliance leaders to analyze, map, and validate data flows between core source systems and transaction monitoring platforms.
If you possess a strong analytical mindset, sharp SQL capabilities, and a passion for preventing financial crime through robust data integrity, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Flow Analysis & Mapping: Analyze, document, and map end-to-end data pipelines from upstream transaction source systems to downstream monitoring platforms.
- Data Validation & Quality Assurance: Perform SQL-based data validation and reconciliations to ensure complete data accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery for monitoring.
- Requirements & Technical Documentation: Translate complex compliance requirements and transaction monitoring business logic into precise technical specifications and mapping documents.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot data gaps, optimize data feed ingestion, and enhance rules/alerting models.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Financial Crime Operations, Compliance, and Engineering teams to support system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Data Analyst, ideally within Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL (joining complex tables, writing analytical queries, data reconciliation) and data lineage mapping.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Financial Crime concepts, specifically Transaction Monitoring, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), or Fraud data architecture.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to investigate data anomalies, trace source-to-target data flows, and ensure high data fidelity.
- Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills—capable of bridging the gap between business compliance teams and technical engineers.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with major Transaction Monitoring platforms (e.g., Actimize, Mantas, NetReveal, or in-house proprietary monitoring platforms).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS) or ETL frameworks.

- Growth & Mentorship: Work directly alongside senior analysts and engineers in a collaborative, tech-driven environment.
- Competitive Package: [Insert compensation/benefits info or leave generic: Competitive salary, flexible working, and professional development opportunities.]
