Role: Technical Business Analyst

Job Description:
- Conduct requirement elicitation via workshops, stakeholder interviews, process walkthroughs, and analysis of existing systems.
- Translate business needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria (INVEST-compliant), ensuring traceability from BRD FRD User Stories Test Cases UAT.
- Perform as-is/to-be analysis, create process maps, data flow diagrams, and system context diagrams.
- Analyze and validate XML/JSON structures, schemas, and payloads for APIs, integrations, and data exchange; define mapping rules and transformation logic.
Documentation
- Own and maintain high-quality artifacts: BRD, FRD, Solution Outline, Data Dictionaries, Interface Control Documents (ICD), Use Case Specs, User Manuals, and Release Notes.
- Maintain a single source of truth using Confluence / SharePoint with proper versioning, stakeholder sign-offs, and audit readiness.
Delivery & Agile Collaboration
- Experience withbacklog refinement, sprint planning, and story grooming with dev/QA teams; clarify requirements, edge cases, and non-functional aspects (performance, security, scalability).
- Define and validate acceptance criteria and Definition of Ready/Done for user stories.
Testing & UAT
- Create UAT strategy, scenarios, scripts, and data; coordinate and facilitate UAT cycles with business users.
- Log, triage, and track UAT defects to closure using Jira/Azure DevOps; support go/no-go decisions.
- Support test teams with requirements traceability to test cases; review test coverage (functional and non-functional).
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as the primary liaison between business, product, engineering, QA, security, and vendors.
- Prepare and present functional walkthroughs, impact assessments, change requests, and status reports.
- Manage scope, risks, and dependencies; escalate timely with mitigation plans.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6 to 10 yearsas a Technical/IT Business Analyst in enterprise or product environments.
- Strong experience writing BRD, FRD, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Hands-on with XML (XSD, XPath, XSLT basics) and JSON (schemas, nested objects, arrays) for API payloads, data validation, and mapping.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices concepts, and request/response lifecycle; ability to interpret Swagger/OpenAPI.
- UAT ownership: planning, scripting, execution coordination, defect triage, and sign-off.
- Proficient with Jira (epics/stories/boards), Confluence, and diagramming tools (Visio, draw.io, Lucidchart).
- Strong SQL basics for data validation (joins, filters, aggregations) and familiarity with logs/Postman for API checks.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum ceremonies, artifacts, and release practices; exposure to CI/CD collaboration is a plus.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
