Role Overview:

The Technical Associate will support field and operations teams in conducting drone-based surveys, electrical asset inspections, and data collection activities. This entry-level role is ideal for diploma holders who are eager to gain hands-on experience in powerline inspection, surveillance systems, and drone-assisted technology applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in field operations, including drone-based surveys and equipment setup.
  • Support the inspection and maintenance of electrical systems, powerlines, and related infrastructure.
  • Handle and maintain electrical and electronic components used in survey equipment.
  • Assist in thermal and visual data collection for power and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with GIS and data processing teams for data validation and reporting.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of field devices, batteries, and communication systems.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with company and client protocols during site operations.
  • Prepare daily work logs, maintenance reports, and field documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Basic understanding of power transmission and distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and field instrumentation.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work in outdoor/project environments.
  • Ability to work in teams and follow technical instructions accurately.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for field assignments.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

  • Exposure to drone operations or interest in aerial survey technologies.
  • Knowledge of Transmissions, power sector, or automation equipment.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD, or GIS awareness).
  • Understanding of thermal imaging or electrical inspection tools.
