Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Technical Architect for the Red Hat OpenShift Platform, you will design and architect OpenShift-based solutions that meet specific business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You will work closely with development teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of OpenShift-based solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Design and Architect Solutions: Design and architect OpenShift-based solutions that meet specific business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This includes setting up and configuring OpenShift clusters, storage solutions, networking, and databases to effectively support various business applications.
- Deploy and Manage Resources: Deploy and manage essential OpenShift resources such as projects, namespaces, and services to ensure smooth operations. Continuously monitor OpenShift environments, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations.
- Implement Security Measures: Implement and enforce security measures to ensure OpenShift resources comply with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Optimize Costs: Optimize costs by right-sizing resources, developing cost-effective solutions, and monitoring usage patterns.
- Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of OpenShift-based solutions, utilizing DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Deep Proficiency in Red Hat OpenShift: Experience with designing and architecting OpenShift-based solutions, including OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and related container technologies.
- Expertise in Linux and VMware Environments: Experience with Linux and VMware environments, including setting up and configuring OpenShift clusters, storage solutions, networking, and databases.
- Container Orchestration: Experience with setting up and managing container orchestration with OpenShift, enabling effective scaling and management of containerized applications.
- Automation Tools: Experience with automation tools like Ansible or OpenShift CLI, and proficiency in using these tools to deploy and manage OpenShift resources.
- Cloud Migration: Experience with cloud migration projects, including assessment, design, and execution, with a focus on optimizing costs and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery configurations.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- DevOps Practices Expertise: Experience with DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) is beneficial for this role. The ability to utilize these practices to ensure successful deployment and integration of OpenShift-based solutions is preferred.
