Job Description

Technical Architect in Enterprise Computing, must play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding the technical aspects of enterprise-level computing systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Publishing and Triage) to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of enterprise computing infrastructure. The Technical Lead will be responsible for providing technical direction, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of scalable and reliable computing solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers, and stake holders.
  • Drive the development and implementation of enterprise computing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on VMWare, Server, storage architecture, configuration, optimization and MOVEit - FTP.

2. Infrastructure Management:

  • Oversee the management of enterprise computing infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services (Azure/GCP).
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of enterprise systems.
  • Monitoring and optimizing storage systems to meet performance and capacity requirements.
  • Troubleshooting of Storage devices. HP/NetApp/EMC - Power Store, Power Scale/Isilon, Compellent.
  • Evaluating new products and features to recommend enhancements or upgrades.
  • Troubleshooting VMware issues related to storage, network, and performance issues.
  • Windows 2003/2008/2008 R2/2012/2016/2022 Server support and troubleshooting.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, security, and business stakeholders, to define and deliver enterprise computing solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and recommendations.

4. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Lead the resolution of complex technical issues and incidents related to enterprise computing.
  • Establish and maintain effective incident response and recovery procedures.

5. Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor and analyse system performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the performance and efficiency of enterprise computing environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or in related field.
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing enterprise-level computing projects.
  • Strong expertise in system architecture, design, and implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise computing technologies, including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
