Job Description

The Technical Account Manager will be responsible for presales activity, sales pitch,RFP and coordination with internal teams PU unit/ BD/Solutioning/ GCS/DPM/MS and will act as a technical advisor to customer before and after the sales.The technical account manager will work with the client to build strong relationships and ensure customer delight on an operational and technical level. The selected candidate will be responsible for both Airtel Africa and MTN account.

Technical Account Manager Responsibilities

  • Supporting Key Account Management Team in increasing sales and winning new business.
  • Maintaining customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Providing technical support to customers before and after-sales.
  • Work towards the growth of the account in terms of overall numbers and customer engagement scoring.
  • Ensuring deliveries arrive on time and in a good condition.
  • Tracking account metrics.
  • Evaluating customer needs to suggest upgrades or additional features.
  • Answering product-related queries in a timely manner.
  • Training customers to use their products.
  • Provide reports to developers and stakeholders on product performance.
  • Work with internal teams on solutioning, POC, 1st level product pitch , RFP solutioning and response.

Technical Account Manager Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or masters degree in Engineering in computer science/Electronics and communication /IT .
  • Experience in technical support and sales.
  • Good technical and comviva product knowledge.
  • Understand the Telco network in detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel to Africa on short notice
