About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will either be working to drive large multi-faceted projects to success, or you will be facilitating the delivery of high-quality software across a number of scrum teams.
In Project Manager roles, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company investment in time and dollars delivers successful outcomes as defined by our Leadership, Product Management and Architecture teams. These projects are critical components of our overall delivery commitments and the project health directly impacts the performance of the business. You will be working with our teams driving Agile, Scrum, Lean and Waterfall projects with resources who are co-located and are responsible for business design, engineering and testing within their feature area.
In Scrum Master roles, you will help guide, lead, and serve your teams so that together you deliver awesome software solutions that deliver exceptional value to our customers. You'll coach team members to deliver to their full potential, structure work to deliver value iteratively, and provide exceptional visibility into team velocity and achievable results.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the health of several projects which may include serving as the Product Manager and/or Engineering Manager as needed during the project lifecycle. Your ability to drive calm and focus in this dynamic environment will serve the organization and ultimately our customers well allowing for open and transparent communications throughout the project lifecycle. Last but not least, you must manage through the power of influence and persuasion to deliver projects on time, within budget, and driving optimal return on our investment.

- Drive the definition of project roadmaps, working with the product teams and leadership.
- Drive decisions on priority, scope, and design to ensure lean and rapid deployment.
- Outline the risk profile with appropriate mitigation plans and stakeholder responsibilities.
- Provide detailed/transparent tracking of large, complex project budgets and forecast.
- Perform accurate variance analysis (including schedule, costs vs. budgets, resources and changes to scope).
- Drive communication with 3rd parties, contract/SOW management, etc.
- Deliver resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and for the day-to-day operational activities.
- Provide team feedback and contribute to performance reviews.
- Own program communications at all levels across Technology and Business stakeholders.
- Ensure team backlogs are groomed and ready following the Playbook documentation.
- Lead scrum ceremonies: standups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
- Ensure resolution of impediments to the team's progress.
- Manage the teams velocity, and identify ways to improve velocity, estimation, and quality.
- Protect the integrity of the team and its velocity from unnecessary external influences.
- Coach the team on continually improving communication, process, estimation, quality, and velocity.
- Care for the team - seek to unlock the energy and potential of the team to be the best it can be.

Desired Skills And Experience
We're excited about you because...
- You have a BE/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- You've been working for 10 years or more in software delivery or a related field
- You have managed the delivery of projects that have had a measurable business impact:
- Using Agile, Scrum, or Lean methodology
- You have a solid understanding of what it takes to deliver great software, fast
- You've got an entrepreneurial energy and ability to find solutions to challenges your team faces
- You communicate concisely
- You act like a leader to influence others to choose the right path
- You work like a coach in your passion to get your team to perform at its best
- You have a strong understanding and experience engaging with Agile teams
- You're a star at coaching teams on backlog prioritization, story-writing, and story estimation
- You have appropriate certification or related experience:
- Scrum certification: ideally CSP, at least CSM, and preferably SAFe
- PMP certified or some other certification in project management
- You can get the job done using JIRA, Confluence, and Slack
