Technical Lead (AI)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Technical Lead to architect, oversee, and deliver AI/ML solutions for a large-scale government platform focused on environmental clearances and compliance. The role requires hands-on technical leadership, end-to-end solution design, and team management across all AI/ML workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions, including RAG-based chatbots, agentic AI modules, and data pipelines.
  • Architect scalable, secure, cloud-based systems using modern ML frameworks, APIs, and platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Implement and integrate NLP, document intelligence, geospatial analysis, and RAG pipelines, including LLMs and vector databases.
  • Build data ingestion, embedding, retrieval, and NLP-based classification and risk summarization workflows.
  • Establish MLOps practices covering CI/CD, monitoring, model versioning, and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, review code, mentor engineers, and manage technical delivery risks.
  • Ensure compliance with government IT standards, data privacy, security, and ethical AI guidelines.
  • Prepare technical documentation and represent the technical team in stakeholder and government meetings.
  • Follow Agile practices to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
  • Experience in environmental, regulatory, or e-governance AI systems.
  • Knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, and KML/geospatial data formats.
  • Exposure to agentic AI and decision-support systems.

Job Description (JD)

  • Experience in software engineering, with 4+ years in AI/ML solution delivery
  • Proven experience leading teams in building and deploying production-grade ML/NLP systems
  • Strong proficiency in Python, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face), databases (SQL, NoSQL, vector databases).
  • Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases (OpenSearch, Pinecone, FAISS), and LLM integration
  • Hands-on knowledge of API design (REST), microservices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with geospatial data processing and document/OCR pipelines
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with government, public sector, or regulatory technology projects
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance processes
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum project management
  • Strong proficiency in Python for AI/ML and backend development.

Educational Qualification

  • Any Graduate (preferably B.E / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree in IT/CS) with good academic record from a recognized and reputed university/institution

Desirable Skills and Certificates

  • Cloud Architect, DevOps, Agile Certification
  • Experience in environmental, regulatory, or e-governance AI systems.
  • Knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, and KML/geospatial data formats.
  • Exposure to agentic AI and decision-support systems.
