Technical Lead (AI)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Technical Lead to architect, oversee, and deliver AI/ML solutions for a large-scale government platform focused on environmental clearances and compliance. The role requires hands-on technical leadership, end-to-end solution design, and team management across all AI/ML workstreams.
Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions, including RAG-based chatbots, agentic AI modules, and data pipelines.
- Architect scalable, secure, cloud-based systems using modern ML frameworks, APIs, and platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Implement and integrate NLP, document intelligence, geospatial analysis, and RAG pipelines, including LLMs and vector databases.
- Build data ingestion, embedding, retrieval, and NLP-based classification and risk summarization workflows.
- Establish MLOps practices covering CI/CD, monitoring, model versioning, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, review code, mentor engineers, and manage technical delivery risks.
- Ensure compliance with government IT standards, data privacy, security, and ethical AI guidelines.
- Prepare technical documentation and represent the technical team in stakeholder and government meetings.
- Follow Agile practices to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
- Experience in environmental, regulatory, or e-governance AI systems.
- Knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, and KML/geospatial data formats.
- Exposure to agentic AI and decision-support systems.
Job Description (JD)
- Experience in software engineering, with 4+ years in AI/ML solution delivery
- Proven experience leading teams in building and deploying production-grade ML/NLP systems
- Strong proficiency in Python, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face), databases (SQL, NoSQL, vector databases).
- Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases (OpenSearch, Pinecone, FAISS), and LLM integration
- Hands-on knowledge of API design (REST), microservices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with geospatial data processing and document/OCR pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with government, public sector, or regulatory technology projects
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance processes
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum project management
- Strong proficiency in Python for AI/ML and backend development.
Educational Qualification
- Any Graduate (preferably B.E / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree in IT/CS) with good academic record from a recognized and reputed university/institution
Desirable Skills and Certificates
- Cloud Architect, DevOps, Agile Certification
- Experience in environmental, regulatory, or e-governance AI systems.
- Knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, and KML/geospatial data formats.
- Exposure to agentic AI and decision-support systems.
