Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Mumbai for the position of Tech Italian Chef. The role involves designing and preparing authentic Italian dishes, incorporating modern culinary techniques, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities include menu planning, sourcing the finest ingredients, training kitchen staff in Italian cuisine, and maintaining the kitchen's compliance with food safety regulations. While the role requires a significant in-kitchen presence, occasional remote planning and menu development work is possible.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Italian culinary techniques, traditional and modern, as well as menu planning and recipe development.
- Strong knowledge of ingredient selection, flavor profiles, and plating presentation.
- Experience in food safety, kitchen hygiene, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Team leadership skills, including the ability to train and manage kitchen staff effectively.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and adaptability in designing innovative dishes.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting with a mix of on-site kitchen work and remote planning.
- Formal culinary training or certification in Italian cuisine is highly advantageous.
