Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Technical Design Consultants, ensuring consistent delivery quality and adherence to standards.
- Conduct design reviews, provide technical direction, and ensure governance across customer solutions.
- Oversee translation of business and technical requirements into scalable, secure architectures.
- Validate and approve HLDs, LLDs, BoMs, migration plans, and integration strategies.
- Collaborate with Architects, PMs, Engineering, NOC, Security, and Customer Success teams.
- Act as the highest technical escalation point for complex design issues or deviations.
- Maintain and enhance design templates, processes, and review mechanisms.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the TDT function.
Skills And Qualifications
- Strong multi-technology design expertise across networking, security, cloud, collaboration, and data center domains.
- Deep hands-on understanding of Cisco architectures or equivalent vendor technologies.
- Ability to create complex architectural blueprints and design packages.
- Experience with SD-WAN, SASE/Zero Trust, NAC, hybrid cloud environments (preferred).
- Proven leadership experience in design, consulting, or architecture roles.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- 8–14 years experience in enterprise design/architecture roles.
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
- Preferred certifications: CCNP / CCDP / CCIE, cloud certs, ITIL Foundation.
Responsibilities
- Technical Design & Implementation: Designing and implementing complex network solutions, including LAN, SDWAN and WAN projects, MPLS links, and point-to-point leased lines.
- Customer Support & Troubleshooting: Acting as a subject matter expert for L2/L3 data tickets, managing major incidents, and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
- Customer Facing Role: Working directly with clients as a technical point of contact to provide tailored solutions and high-impact support.
- Infrastructure Management: Managing Cisco Data Center environments (Nexus Series Switches 2k-9k) and Cisco DNA/ISE.
- Project Documentation: Creating detailed technical reports, including root cause analysis (RCA), and documenting network improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 10 years of relevant experience in IT/telecommunications, specifically in Service Integrator (SI) domains.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IP/TCP networking, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS), and security concepts.
- Data Center Tech: Knowledge of Fabric Path, STP, VXLAN, ACI, MPLS, and OTV.
- Certifications: Typically requires CCNA/CCDP or similar Cisco certifications.
- Tools: Familiarity with Cisco UCS and Data Center equipment.
