Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Management:
- Assist in the preparation, development, and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project milestones.
- Support the creation of detailed project timelines using project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect changes in scope, resources, or timelines.
- Assist in identifying schedule risks and delays, and work with the team to develop corrective actions.
Cost Control:
- Support cost management processes, including cost estimation, forecasting, and budget tracking.
- Assist in the preparation and management of project cost reports and financial tracking.
- Ensure that expenditures align with the project budget and track any deviations from cost targets.
- Support the preparation of cost variance analysis and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Reporting:
- Prepare regular project controls reports, including progress reports, cost analysis, and schedule performance updates.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly project status reports for stakeholders, including management, clients, and contractors.
- Provide input on risk, change management, and schedule performance reports to ensure timely and accurate information.
Risk Management:
- Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks.
- Help track and update risk registers to ensure project risks are documented and managed proactively.
- Assist with analyzing the impact of risks on project timelines, costs, and deliverables.
Data Analysis and Documentation:
- Collect and analyze project data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of project controls data, including schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Ensure that all project documentation is up to date and compliant with company policies and standards.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that all project controls processes are implemented effectively.
- Assist in coordinating project meetings and provide inputs regarding schedule or cost performance.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
Project Controls Tools and Systems:
- Support the use and maintenance of project controls software and tools, ensuring all data is accurately recorded and processed.
- Assist in training team members on project controls systems and tools.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in project controls, project management, or a related role in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
Skills:
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel).
- Basic understanding of project cost control, scheduling, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with risk management and cost control methodologies.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Desirable Certifications:
- Certifications: PMP, CAPM, or other project management certifications.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of project controls tools like Oracle Primavera, SAP, or similar systems is a plus.
