Job Purpose

.To manage the financials and taxation (Direct & Indirect) transactions of the unit.
.To ensure preparation of financials as per IND-AS & get the same audited by the auditors

Job Context & Major Challenges

Aditya Birla Captial vision is to be a leader and role model in a broad-based and integrated financial services business. Accordingly, businesses leverage the internal strength of the various businesses while continuing to have their own identity and niche in the market place.

oAsset Reconstruction Company (ARC) is a newly formed initiative within the Aditya Birla Capital (ABC) with the objective to acquire, manage and make profitable / turnaround stressed assets which have been underperforming or have become NPA's. The ARC is to be complemented subsequently with a Distressed Asset Fund (DAF) which would provide the necessary equity infusion and would help boost the equity returns. The critical skill sets required to meet these challenges are domain knowledge, relationships with corporates / banking industry for acquisition of assets, financial structuring & investment banking skills for turning around companies and strong legal and regulatory knowledge.
oTotal capital over 5 year plan period including debt and equity could be expected to be between 1000-2000 crs.
oDeal sizes :- average 100 crs (would like to graduate to 250-500)

Key challenges for the role are as follows:
a)Regulatory & Risk: To provide support to the business in this dynamic regulatory environment & update them timely on any new developments pertaining to compliance from the regulators/government authorities
b)Coordination with support function: To ensure smooth coordination with all the support functions for adhering the group/company policies
c)IT Set up: To adopt the best possible accounting software(ERP) available in the market as per the business and regulatory requirements
d)Updates on Accounting Policies/Accounting Standards: Being updated with the new accounting standards for preparation of financials

KRA1To work towards timely & accurate completion of books of accounts on a routine basis.To reconcile all the transactional
accounts like accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash/bank balance, operating expenses, overheads & capital expenditures
.To prepare the profit/loss workings & present all the finalized books of accounts for audits on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis as per IFRS
.Manage receivables/payables for all income/expenses as per company policy and making periodic collection/payables
KRA2To manage internal reporting
systems & act as a custodian of
accounting & statutory records
.To ensure adherence to Accounting process manual &
design new accounting reports by deciding their
frequency, report details & strategic utility
.To periodically prepare all the accounting & documentation processes & suggest revisions according to statutory changes.
.To ensure that all payments are as per policy and within approved budget
KRA3To ensure compliance of regulatory aspects including
Payments & tax audits &
Assessments and ensure accurate
and timely vendor payments
.To manage all tax matters relating to TDS/ Goods & Service tax deposits, tax return filings on a monthly basis and also ensure correct disposal of the certificates to the persons concerned.
.RBI, Companies Act, SEBI, Income tax act & Goods & Service tax
act are complied with on a timely and accurate basis.
.To ensure comply RBI inspection audit & other compliance as per regulator norms
.Filing of IT returns.
.To work towards smooth and timely vendor payment
.To highlight exceptions in the authority matrix.
KRA4To assist the Head - Accounts & Taxation in monitoring the performance of the function and driving efficiencies.To ensure that all transactions meet the cost, quality & time-related performance standards as per the organization's policy
.To be updated and constantly interact with various stakeholders and counterparts including those in BUs, operations, group companies on regular basis
.To manage system automations & development of accounting software in collaboration with IT department
