Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader – Full Stack (MERN) Developer to lead our development team in building scalable and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise across the MERN stack along with proven leadership capabilities to guide, mentor, and drive a team toward successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of full-stack developers to deliver high-quality web applications.
- Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using the MERN stack.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and project roadmaps.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and development processes.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and support team members in problem-solving.
- Oversee application performance, scalability, and security improvements.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges, bottlenecks, and production issues.
- Drive Agile practices, sprint planning, and timely delivery of milestones.
- Contribute to technical documentation, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
Technical Skills:
- Frontend: Strong expertise in React.js, including Hooks, Redux, and component-based architecture.
- Backend: Advanced knowledge of Node.js and Express.js, including RESTful API design and middleware implementation.
- Database: Hands-on experience with MongoDB and MySQL, including schema design, indexing, aggregation, and performance tuning.
- Version Control: Proficient in Git and collaborative workflows (Gitflow or similar).
- DevOps & Deployment: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Other Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), JSON, WebSockets, and testing frameworks (Mocha, Chai, Jest).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of experience in full-stack development with a strong focus on the MERN stack.
- Proven experience in leading development teams and delivering end-to-end projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and team management.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage):
- Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, or TypeScript.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with serverless architecture and advanced NoSQL databases.
- Prior experience working in distributed or onsite-offshore team models.
