Overview of Job Function:

We are looking for a skilled and technology-oriented Team Leader, with a vast experience building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications, to join our outstanding Verint Realtime Analytics team.

You will manage, lead, mentor and recruit new team members to a multi-disciplinary talented R&D team, that works on strategic enterprise Realtime Analytics products.

You will be responsible for products design and development, code reviews, proof of concepts, troubleshooting, code fixes and full development life cycle of Realtime Analytics products solutions.

You will collaborate with varied cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and business needs, in order to define best software design solutions.

You will work closely with management on departmental issues, with latitude for independent judgment and decision-making within defined guidelines.

Responsibilities

Lead, empower and develop the R&D team, consist of software, DevOps, QA automation engineers

Design software solutions, considering cloud deployment, large scale, high availability, security, robustness, performance & sizing, and more

Develop a high standard code, in an enterprise level application and architecture

Strong understanding and oversee of all phases of the development life cycle, such as Automation, CICD, TDD, Integrations, Builds, Deployment, etc.

Work with cross functional stakeholder peers such as R&D team leaders and architects, product management, PMO, support tiers, etc.

Collaborate with other departments to prioritize software development needs including design, development, and documenting and testing new and existing software

May serve in a scrum master role as part of the agile software development process

Analyze and resolve software development issues and needs in terms of the software's full life cycle

Perform root cause analysis

Act as a point of contact and escalation for the team/function

Own the production environment (You Build it - You Own It - You Run It)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology (or equivalent)

Proven hands-on experience of at least 8 years as a software developer, using Java

Experience of at least 3 years of R&D team management, using Agile methodologies

Experience in API design and implementation and network protocols, such as REST, Websocket, gRPC.

Experience with private/public cloud platforms AWS, Azure or GCP

Experience with Node, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Redis

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Harness, AWS/Azure CI or similar)

Proficiency using a source control system (GitHub, Git or similar)

Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, lead, coach and collaborate with different departments in a global, cross-office environment

High prioritization capabilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proactive innovative mindset

Positive attitude, mission-driven, action-oriented and a strong commitment to delivering quality work

Experience with web application frameworks, such as React or Angular - an advantage

Experience in Monitoring Solutions like Prometheus, ELK Stack, Data Dog etc. - an advantage
