Job Title: Team Lead US Payroll

Experience: 910 Years

Location: Ambattur, Chennai

Work Mode: Work from Office (No Hybrid / No Remote)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Team Lead US Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll operations and lead a team of payroll associates. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in US payroll processing, team management, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end US payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 58 payroll associates, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and mentoring.
  • Review payroll inputs, calculations, deductions, and final outputs before processing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies.
  • Handle payroll queries, escalations, and provide timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Compliance teams) and external vendors if required.
  • Prepare and review payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
  • Drive process improvements and ensure adherence to SLAs and timelines.
  • Support audits and ensure proper documentation and controls are maintained.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 910 years of experience in US payroll, with strong end-to-end process knowledge.
  • Proven experience in team handling and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.

Shift Details

(Shift will rotate on a monthly basis)

  • Must be open to rotational shifts:
    • Day Shift: 6:30 AM 3:30 PM
    • Night Shift: 9:30 PM 6:30 AM
