Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Compensation Analyst with strong communication skills and experience in sales compensation/commissions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and has a passion for data accuracy, process efficiency, and high-quality output. This is a dynamic role requiring a blend of analytical, operational, and interpersonal capabilities.
In This Role, You Will:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual commissions for a global sales team (direct and indirect).
- Process commissions for complex incentive plans and oversee related workflows and quality controls.
- Partner with senior sales leaders to design and distribute sales incentive plans.
- Independently manage the annual sales compensation process, including ad-hoc plan creation and periodic reporting.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sales reps on commission calculations, triaging and resolving queries.
- Maintain accurate quotas and commission rates in line with compensation plans.
- Manage and escalate plan exception requests as needed.
- Conduct regular data reviews to ensure commission accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with sales managers to uphold strong quality controls and consistent processes.
- Provide operational analysis and reporting on compensation trends and plan performance.
- Drive automation initiatives for commission calculation processes to improve efficiency.
- Create and maintain process documentation for operational workflows.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize compensation operations and reporting.
- Maintain a customer-centric focus to deliver high-quality and tailored outcomes.
What You Need to Succeed:
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of experience in a sales compensation, operations, or analyst role.
- Strong expertise in Advanced Excel and VBA.
- Experience with commission software/tools (e.g., Xactly, Callidus, etc.) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Sigma is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of BI reporting tools and effective data visualization.
- Prior experience with Salesforce.com and knowledge of sales compensation frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated process orientation and a systems-thinking mindset.
- A self-starter with intellectual curiosity and the drive to learn and improve.
