Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Team Lead in Medical Coding located in Bengaluru South. The Team Lead will oversee daily medical coding operations, ensure coding accuracy, and provide guidance and training to the coding team. Responsibilities include auditing medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies. The role also involves mentoring the team, optimizing workflows, and contributing to process improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in medical coding, including proficiency in ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Experience with medical billing, reimbursement processes, and regulatory compliance such as HIPAA
- Leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and mentoring a team
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to review and audit medical records for accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage workflow and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and interaction with healthcare providers
- Certification from recognized medical coding bodies such as CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) is a plus
- Knowledge of healthcare software applications and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
