Job Description

The Opportunity

The Team Lead, Learning Design is a strong player-coach responsible for managing a team of Instructional Designers and e-Learning Developers that designs and develops highly impactful learning solutions in the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry. The Team Lead oversees the schedule, quality and workflow norms to produce high quality, predictable learning content for Planview's customers, partners and employees. This position reports to the Director of Global Learning based in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a new team of instructional designers and e-Learning developers (majority based in Bangalore, India).
  • Develop an end-to-end learning design lifecycle that ensures quality and proper velocity and throughput (for both new content and updates/maintenance).
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify and prioritize training needs.
  • Establish best practices and strong instructional design principles to create impactful training solutions to appeal to adult learning styles.
  • Plan cooperatively with University of Planview and Training Services teams within Planview Global Learning.
  • Maintain project documentation and organization using Planview's Scaled Agile methodologies and Agile Kanban work management.
  • Mentor and upskill the team on instructional design and e-Learning development standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years in an instructional design role with most of that in a corporate/adult learning environment.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management position.
  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) product training or platforms is required.
  • Experience creating end to end processes with a new team preferred.
  • Strong expertise required in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise).
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Captivate, InDesign, Photoshop.
  • Proficient in Learning Management Systems knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written).
  • Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus on key priorities and conflicting demands.
  • Able to work across time zones on a global team in a matrixed environment.
