Team Lead - Design Engineer

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Team Lead - Design Engineer to oversee our design engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions. The ideal candidate will have 6-15 years of experience in design engineering, with a strong background in leading teams and managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, and design teams on projects
• Create 2D/3D designs, layouts, foundation, assembly, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Release drawings and BOMs as per GD&T and global manufacturing standards
• Ensure first-time-right design considering DFM, DFA, DFMEA, and serviceability
• Develop and test prototypes to validate design performance
• Convert customer requirements into optimized and cost-effective designs
• Standardize components to reduce inventory and overall product cost
• Support mould, pattern, and layout development
• Monitor project progress and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Visit manufacturing plants, suppliers, and project sites to resolve quality and CAPA issues

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design methodologies.
• Experience with project management tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving goals.
