Position : Team Lead
Location: Haveri, Karnataka
Duties And Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end plantation execution in the assigned cluster, including farmer onboarding, planting, and early survival management.
- Lead farmer communication and local marketing activities such as village meetings, farmer interactions, and exposure visits to drive adoption.
- Coordinate with implementation partners and nurseries to ensure sapling quality, timely supply, and proper planting practices.
- Manage and supervise implementation-partner teams, with the ability to effectively handle 5 to 10 field surveyors and ensure data quality.
- Plan and monitor field operations, including pit preparation, planting schedules, aftercare, and first-90-day maintenance.
- Track plantation performance, survival rates, and on-ground risks, and take timely corrective actions.
- Handle farmer issues and expectations professionally to protect long-term trust and program credibility.
- Conduct farm audit post plantation activities to evaluate the quality of plantation
Required Skills And Experience
- Graduate in Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or related field
- 14 years of experience in plantation execution, rural programs, agriculture operations, or field-based project management
- Prior experience leading field teams and coordinating with partners preferred
- Strong field execution and operational planning skills
- Experience in managing on-ground teams and implementation partners
- Knowledge of plantation practices, sapling quality, and early-stage survival management
- Excellent farmer and community engagement skills
- Ability to assess risks and take corrective actions in the field
- Data quality awareness and basic reporting skills
- The job requires frequent travelling
