Position Summary

The Team Lead – Admissions will be responsible for leading and managing the Admissions Sales team, driving lead conversions, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring a high-quality counselling experience for prospective parents and students.

The role requires strong sales leadership, team management, performance tracking, coaching, stakeholder management, and target ownership. The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of sales experience, including at least 2 years of experience managing a Sales/Admissions team.

Key stakeholders: Admissions Counsellors, Sales Team, Marketing Team, Academic Team, Operations Team, Finance Team, and Parents/Prospective Students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the Admissions/Sales team to achieve daily, monthly, and quarterly targets.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against lead conversion, enrolment, and revenue targets.
  • Conduct daily team huddles and performance reviews to track pipeline, follow-ups, conversions, and key challenges.
  • Allocate and monitor leads effectively to ensure maximum utilisation and conversion opportunities.
  • Coach and mentor team members on consultative selling, counselling, objection handling, follow-ups, and closing techniques.
  • Conduct regular call audits and provide constructive feedback to improve counselling quality and conversion performance.
  • Track the complete sales funnel from lead generation and counselling to application and final enrolment.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement action plans to improve individual and team productivity.
  • Handle escalations from prospective parents and support the team in resolving complex sales or admission-related concerns.
  • Work closely with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality, campaign performance, and lead generation requirements.
  • Coordinate with Academic, Operations, Finance, and Customer Support teams to ensure a smooth admission and enrolment experience.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate sales MIS, dashboards, and performance reports using Google Sheets/Excel.
  • Analyse sales data, conversion trends, and team performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure CRM hygiene, timely lead updates, follow-ups, and accurate pipeline management.
  • Drive a strong performance-oriented and customer-centric culture within the team.
  • Take ownership of achieving assigned admission and revenue targets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational Qualification: Any Graduate / Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in Sales, with at least 2+ years of experience as a Sales Team Lead / Admissions Team Lead / similar leadership role.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a sales or admissions team.
  • Strong understanding of sales funnels, lead management, conversion, and revenue generation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, objection-handling, and relationship-building skills.
  • Good knowledge of Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret sales data and performance metrics.
  • Strong team management, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in EdTech, Education, Admissions, B2C Sales, or Inside Sales will be an added advantage.
  • Candidates with a strong target-oriented and performance-driven approach are preferred.
