Job Description

  • Strong experience in maintaining large numbers of UNIX servers and multiple UNIX flavors (RHEL and AIX).
  • Deep understanding of UNIX (Rhel and AIX) fundamentals and concepts.
  • Willing to work in night shifts on rotational basis / flexible to work in any shifts
  • Installation of redhat linux servers using Kickstart and AIX servers through NIM.
  • Experience server hardening and performance monitoring and tuning
  • Experience in patching large volume of RHEL/AIX servers.
  • Experience in managing redhat satellite
  • Strong knowledge on Redhat native clustering (Pacemaker) and IBM HACMP
  • Strong knowledge on VIO and HMC
  • Strong experience in LVM management, multipath configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting experience, specifically with python and shell scripting language to automate existing and workloads and routine system admin tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of NTP, TCP/IP, ISCSI, FC etc... As well as other core technologies is required.
  • Experience in resolving complex issues related to break-fix performance tuning and deployments.
  • Extensive troubleshooting skills with linux/Aix, network in complex app and DB environments.
  • Strong understanding of network and server security
